After having three destination weddings cancelled during Covid-19, finally getting on a plane with the team for Laura & Danny’s big day felt extra special. Their wedding took place at the stunning Château de Saint-Martory, near Toulouse in the south of France – a picture-perfect fairytale setting on the river with incredible character everywhere you look.

We spent three days out there with them, capturing the full story: relaxed pre-wedding footage around the local town, small moments with family and friends arriving, the build-up at the château, the wedding day itself, and a final-day pool party that absolutely went off. It meant their film wasn’t just about the wedding, but the whole experience of bringing everyone together in one beautiful place.

With temperatures over 25 degrees and constant sunshine, the light was a dream to work with. Shooting on our 4K Sony cameras, we focused on natural, candid moments – from morning prep and emotional vows to golden-hour portraits in the grounds and the party kicking off late into the night.

We also blended in stills from the day with the video footage to create a cinematic trailer that Laura & Danny absolutely love. To this day, it’s still one of our favourite destination wedding films we’ve created.
